Thanks to the support from our wonderful community, samo.malo is excited to announce the first edition of its upcoming event series. This series has been curated to connect underground communities from around the world through the means of sonic exploration and collaboration.
DBT (UK)
We are delighted to host DBT: a pioneering electronic music brand, established in 2019 and rooted in the vibrant scenes of Glasgow and Edinburgh. Dedicated to curating the finest in underground electronic music, DBT showcases a diverse range of genres including stripped back house and techno, micro house, minimal techno, garage, breaks, acid, and everything in between. DBT draws inspiration from renowned events like Off Sonar, Houghton, Sunwaves, Gottwood, and ADE.
For over five years, DBT has been at the forefront of Scotland's electronic music scene, hosting unforgettable parties in Glasgow and Edinburgh. Beyond traditional venues, DBT has taken its immersive experiences to unconventional spaces such as islands, waterfalls, and reservoirs, creating unique atmospheres for music lovers to connect.
Championing the essence of underground culture, DBT celebrates dubby bass sounds and a love for stripped-back house and techno with intricate yet rhythmic basslines. Resident DJs Bz & Doogi epitomize DBT's sonic ethos, seamlessly blending eclectic sounds that have captivated audiences from Milan to London, with upcoming shows in Vietnam.
With a roster that includes warm-up sets for esteemed acts like The Ghost, Gene on Earth, Voigtmann, Cristi Cons, and more, DBT has solidified its presence in Scotland's nightlife landscape. From iconic clubs like Sub Club and Cabaret Voltaire to the esteemed Liquid Rooms, DBT continues to push boundaries and redefine the underground electronic music experience.

Mullen (UK)
Having been in Hanoi only a few months, Mullen’s infectious energy has already spread across the city’s dancefloors. Having worked with a roster of artists in Glasgow’s most renowned clubs [Sub Club, La Cheetah] as well as throwing parties across Europe, his lineups show an eclectic taste.
Anything goes in Mullen’s sets - chopping and weaving between different genres, the Glaswegian personality always shows up in the booth and keeps the energy high. “There’s no such thing as a guilty pleasure.”
