Dayton's Bluff Location: Sopes

Join Chef Flor Alvarez for a Sopes class in honor of Hispanic Heritage Month. This is a hands-on experience forming and cooking this treat. Sopes is a traditional dish of fried masa cake with savory toppings. Come ready to learn more about Ecuadorian cooking and hear stories of Flor’s experience as a chef.  

This class and recipe utilize Maseca and all-purpose flour. As we seek to honor the recipe's heritage and tradition and balance food allergens, this class is not the best option for someone who is gluten-free or celiac. Our Hmong Cooking class could be a good option for this month if you have that specific food need! 

*A Minimum of 5 students is required to hold an in-person class. Refund requests must be made 48 hours in advance of class time
