The Full Circle Nine Gallery (FC9) will feature Victor Tulli in “Day to Day” as part of the First Friday art tour at the Full Circle Nine Gallery (FC9), 6-9pm on Friday, May 3rd. Admission and parking are free. Victor Tulli is a painter and digital artist, and his works for this show will be painted on various surfaces, such as skateboard decks. His love for wheels goes beyond the decks though, through his career in motorcycle production to his love for the month of May and all of its Indy 500-related energy. But for this show, he brings it back down to pit lane with a bit of personal philosophy.
“It’s a bit of a story of the norm,” Tulli said. “The mechanisms we put in place every day to make it run smoothly: People, interests, and careers all need proper maintenance and attention to continue to propel us toward the finish line of our goals. Sure, your tire might fall off and a piston might fly through your hood. It might even happen in the same day. Why not smile at the good you can savor while stranded on the side of the road?”
About Victor Tulli
Victor Tulli, of Brownsburg, Indiana, credits his family for his interest and practice in art. His mother and cousins were all very talented, but had let their skills fall by the wayside as life got in the way. Tulli has a mechanical background and the intricacies of machines and how parts come together capture his wonder as much as any science fiction novel or comic book.
“I would describe my art style as bold, vivid work that has a bit of humor behind it. The art is often inspired by pop culture and things I love from movies, motorsport, and everything in between,” Tulli said. “I create as a way to lighten some things in life. Art has become a way for me to keep a lighthearted attitude and outlook. There are bits of beauty and humor in every day. Making things that reflect those little bits of joy amplify the feeling.”
About the Full Circle Nine Gallery
The Full Circle Nine Gallery operates as an artist cooperative gallery, with each of the member artists and the board dividing gallery duties and artists roles. The artists will work together to help each other advance in skill and practice, as well as to bring success to the gallery. With over two dozen artists occupying a large, three-room space of the more factory-reminiscent portion of the Circle City Industrial Complex, Full Circle Nine offers a wide variety of art forms, media, and approaches.
The gallery has regular hours: 6-10pm on Fridays, 12-4pm on Saturdays and Sundays. Full Circle Nine Gallery is located at 1125 Brookside Ave., Indianapolis, IN, 46202, in the South Studios section of the Circle City Industrial Complex.
