The Day the Music Died brings a sweeping, high-energy circus retelling of America’s most iconic musical turning point. Set in and around a vibrant 1950s diner called The Sacred Store, the show follows its rise, the friendships formed inside its walls, and the heartbreak that strikes when the legendary Buddy Holly, Ritchie Valens, and The Big Bopper are lost on February 3, 1959.Part one bursts with sock-hop joy—swinging aerial acts, dynamic acrobatics, and storytelling Newsies who guide the audience through romance, rivalry, and rock ’n’ roll. Part two jumps ten years ahead as the youth who once grew up in the diner return as adults, discovering who they’ve become and rebuilding something new atop the memories of the past.
Packed with circus artistry, beloved music, and emotional character arcs, The Day the Music Died is a nostalgic, heart-lifting celebration of resilience, community, and the power of song.
Performances on Feb 14 @ 3pm and 7pm, and Feb 15 @ 1pm. Tickets at daythemusicdied.com
