Join every Thursday in October for FREE workshops focused on making traditional decorations, foods and other creative activities in preparation for our Day of the Dead/Día de los Muertos Celebration on Nov. 2. In this workshop, artist Zuheil Alvarez Cortes will teach you how to make paper flowers and discuss the process in creating an altar (ofrenda). The paper flowers represent marigolds, which are a significant symbol in honoring the dead in Hispanic culture. There will be activities for kids and adults; all supplies are provided.
