Reading’s Oakford Social Club is set to be transformed into a Mexican-style Day of the Dead party as the Central American celebration kicks into life.Revellers are being promised an all-night party with Mexican regalia throughout the venue, film screenings, a secret altar as well as games and prizes.
Missing The Scene will enliven the night alongside award-winning DJs including Tasha KP of Radio 1’s Essential Mix fame. House, punk, Latin and funk will ensure the crowd is blasted with an eclectic mix of music.
First staged in 2022 at Reading’s Blue Collar Corner party organisers say the event attracted large numbers of people with the Oakford allowing for an even wider audience: “We were really chuffed with the attendance in ‘22, but we had to scale things up and The Oakford provides even more space for more people to have more fun!”
Revellers are encouraged to attend in fancy-dress!
