Day of the Day Alter Building workshop
About this Event
Day of the Dead Altar Building Workshop
Join us for a meaningful and creative Día de los Muertos altar-building workshop at The Village, facilitated by Ericka Avila Brian.
This hands-on experience is an opportunity to learn about the tradition of creating an ofrenda, or altar, as a way to honor and remember loved ones who have passed. Participants will be guided through the meaning behind common altar elements while creating a personal tribute rooted in remembrance, gratitude, and connection.
The workshop will blend culture, creativity, reflection, and community, offering space to celebrate the lives, stories, and memories of those who continue to hold a special place in our hearts.
No prior experience is needed. Participants are encouraged to bring a photo or small meaningful item representing someone they would like to honor.
Come create something beautiful, learn more about this rich cultural tradition, and share in an experience centered on remembrance and connection.
