🗣️Join Us for a "Day of Empathy & a celebration of our 501(c)3 Approval". 👏🏾 The Wrongfully Incarcerated and Over-Sentenced Families Council-MN & T.O.N.E. U.P. is thrilled to announce our upcoming event, “A Day of Empathy,” at North Commons Park on April 5th, 2025, from 1 PM to 6 PM.
A Day of Empathy aims to shine a light on the human stories too often ignored: families torn apart by injustice, community members organizing for change, and incarcerated individuals who maintain their innocence and or over-sentenced continue to fight for freedom. The event will highlight voices from across movements, including advocates for police accountability, immigrant justice, the Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women and Girls movement, and LGBTQIA+ liberation, and the Free Palestine movement.
We’ll begin by decorating cars and enjoying food. Afterward, join us for engaging tabling sessions and a powerful panel discussion featuring formerly incarcerated individuals, their families, and a special guest speaker🎤 🎙️ We’ll wrap up the day with an inspiring caravan 🚗 🚘 🛻 🪧🇵🇸🇲🇽❤️🖤💚, so be sure to stay till the end!
