About this Event
Join us on the summer solstice as we hold space on the longest day of the year to come together and dream.
For centuries, humans have turned to dreaming practices to listen, prophesize, communicate, congregate, and celebrate the cosmic strength of our subconscious. More recently, researchers have begun exploring the interaction of dreams with mental health, as well as methods for facilitated dreaming that have shown promise in treating depression and anxiety. Artists Kite and Alisha B Wormsley, known for their work at the forefront of Indigenous and Black Futurism, have long collaborated with other artists, scientists, and other creative practitioners to tap into the duality of our dreams—as both individual tools of self-awareness and collective acts of imagination and world-buildings. Part of the artists on-going public art project, Cosmologyscape, the Day of Dreaming brings together these "dreamers" to share their practices and awaken you to the power of your dreams!
Accessibility note: ASL interpretation will be provided, events are held in ADA accessible space.
