Day of Dance: Highland Dance Workshops hosted PHDA

Workshops for Premier dancers, Pre-premier dancers, Professionals, and parents will be given by Mary Munro and Sandy Gribbin. This event is hosted by Portland Highland Dance Association, and is open to any highland dancer that wishes to attend. We will have sessions for all ages and classes, as well as a parent portion. Professionals will be able to sit in on any of the sessions they wish, and their entry fee also grants them membership to PHDA for the 2025-2026 season. Please join us for a day of fun, friendship, and lots of dancing. PLUS, Portland Highland Dance Association is hosting a Ceilidh that evening nearby the workshop venue. Stay and extra night and keep the dancing going! Ceilidh dancing will be a sesssion at the workshop to get you ready!

Info: We will start the day with a group warm-up to get ready for a full day of dance and learning. Workshops will include a Championship set-step lecture and a Premiership lecture taught by Mary Munro, as well as Strength Training and Injury prevention workshops given by Sandy Gribbin.

Info: Parents can start the day with a cup of coffee and a chat, then off to Q&A with Ann Johnson about all aspects of Competing in Highland Dance and a discussion on how to help keep your dancer stay strong and healthy.
