Make the most of school breaks with hands-on adventures where kids discover the joy of growing and preparing food and learn skills they’ll use for a lifetime.Ignite curiosity and creativity this holiday break with our immersive education experiences that bring the magic of the garden and kitchen to life! Students dive into hands-on projects inspired by nature, exploring how food, art, and science connect in unexpected ways. From exploring plants in the garden to crafting edible creations, each day offers new adventures designed to inspire young minds and cultivate a deeper appreciation for the world around them.
Did Thomas Jefferson really invent mac n’ cheese? How did tamales play a part in Gerald Ford losing an election? Which president loved barbecue the most? At this day camp, we’re cracking open old American cook books to discover what the presidents ate. Discover how contributions from African American White House Executive Chefs and First Ladies shaped the way we eat as a culture. Campers will get hands-on in the garden and the kitchen, building the confidence and curiosity to eat well.
