Venue: Vinyl & Brew, Alwarpet, Chennai

Theme: Back to Our Roots

Come and pin your poem to our wall between 11 AM - 2 PM and get a full refund of your ticket, post which you can still pin your poem but no refunds will be issued.*

Write something new. Pull out something old. Dig up the poem you wrote at 2 AM and never showed anyone. If it exists and it's yours, it belongs on this wall. The theme is Back to Our Roots — but interpret that however feels true to you. We're not here to police your poem.

Pin it before 3 PM on July 19 and your ticket is refunded, no questions asked. Because poets should be paid, and we mean that.

Only things for you to remember:

• Your poems can be handwritten, printed, typewritten, or violently pieced together like a ransom note. 
• We don't print on-site, so come with it ready. 
• Your poem cannot be more than 1 A4 sheet size.
• Stick to one side of a paper. People can’t flip or turn pages once pinned on a wall. 
• Only ONE fully joint paper allowed. Additional or extra sheets will be treated as another poem and charged accordingly. 
• Any language is welcome. 
• Explicit content is allowed only if it comes with a clear, legible content warning at the top of the page. Our audience includes minors. 

House of T Turns 8

The Poetry Wall is part of the Pop-Up Market on Day 4 of the House of T anniversary festival. 

House of T started in 2018 with a simple conviction — that live performance is worth showing up for.

What followed was nearly eight years of music, open mics, poetry nights, and storytelling sessions across Chennai, Kochi, Bangalore, and Mumbai. Hundreds of events, and a community that kept coming back not just for the acts on stage, but for what the room felt like when everyone was in it together.

Back to Our Roots is how House of T turns 8. A four-day anniversary festival at Vinyl & Brew, July 16–19, built around the artists, collaborators, and audiences who've been part of this story from the very beginning.
