Take your photography further with an advanced hands-on workshop set on D'Ann Boal's beautiful farm property.
Join D'Ann Boal for a free session designed for experienced photographers looking to refine their creative approach and get the most out of their gear. Together, we'll explore advanced techniques for working with natural light, composing impactful images in outdoor environments, and using different lenses intentionally to shape perspective, depth, and visual storytelling.
Set against the backdrop of rolling landscapes, open fields, and ranch life, participants will have opportunities to photograph horses, models, and scenic vistas while experimenting with a variety of focal lengths and creative approaches. Throughout the session, D'Ann will share insights on lens selection, camera settings, and techniques for creating stronger, more intentional images in the field.
You'll have the opportunity to shoot with Nikon Z5II, Z6III, and Z8 cameras, paired with an extensive selection of 15 different lenses available for hands-on trial. Compare focal lengths, test specialty lenses, and discover how different optics can dramatically influence the look and feel of your photographs. Whether you're interested in portraiture, equine photography, landscapes, or visual storytelling, this workshop will help you expand your technical skills and creative vision while making the most of golden-hour light on the farm.
