martin searle solicitors Present ‘Dawn Of Hope’ in Aid of Grassroots Suicide Prevention on 12 September 2025

On Friday 12 September 2025, our firm are holding our second sponsored walk called ‘Dawn Of Hope’. This is inspired by our Assistant Office Manager, Amy O’Shea, who organised our first annual ‘Dawn of Hope’ walk last September which raised over £2,400 to support the vital work that Grassroots Suicide Prevention carry out, and we are determined to raise further funds to support their work this year.

We are a campaigning law firm that tries to make a difference in our community. This also involves supporting causes that are important to our staff and clients. Sadly, suicide is far too common in our society and yet it still remains a taboo subject.

Our Walk of Hope will raise money and awareness for Grassroots Suicide Prevention and is in memory of all those we have lost to suicide and to support those battling with their mental health.

Starting at the Peace Statue on Brighton Seafront at 6am, we will proceed along the beach towards Brighton Marina. For those who wish to join the walk at the Palace Pier, we will reach there at 6.15am. At 7am there will be a reception at Malmaison at the Marina where a representative from Grassroots Suicide Prevention will outline the importance of their work and how your donations help them provide valuable education and support in our community.

Local businesses and individuals can also donate to our JustGiving page where we are raising funds for Grassroots Suicide Prevention.

Dawn of Hope leads on to our annual Disability Matters campaign. This is scheduled every October to coincide with Disability Awareness Week.

It seems fitting after organising this walk to concentrate on anxiety and depression in the workplace. More and more employees are taking anti-depressants. Employers often fail to realise they have duties to consider making reasonable adjustments for employees with mental health disabilities.
