Davila 666 We have been a rabid fans since their first record came out on "In The Red records"( Davila 666 ) in 2008. This Puerto Rican six-piece channels sheer anarchic energy and the essence of The Stooges with a formidable gift for language-transcending hooks, like a spanish speaking Black Lips crossed with Spaceman 3. Well, the band has a new record out ( Secretos ) and folks are raving about the live show.
Las Nubes were recently named “Best Band in Miami” by the Miami New Times. They blend crunchy hooks, fuzz, soothing vocals, and a sense of melody into something that, in another age, would be a gigantic hit on college radio. It's ferocious garage pop and wildly catchy. They have toured the US and Mexico extensively, including fests and high-exposure support slots, including being Iggy Pop's backing band.
