HEADLINER BEN JONES:

Ben Jones has been a comic his entire adult life and then some. He started doing comedy when he was just 17 years old and began to build his career in the North Carolina Comedy Scene. Ben, now a 30 something, travels over 40 weeks a year playing comedy venues throughout the United States.

Coming from a small humble upbringing in the South, Ben is a larger than life performer. He attacks the crowd with a high energy intensity that is replicated by very few in the biz. Ben combines his impressive writing ability with grandiose gestures and passionate delivery to bring audiences a show they are guaranteed to talk about at work on Monday.

Ben’s likeability is unparalleled, crowds fall in love with his huggable demeanor and knack for hitting people right in the funny bone. Whether it’s a squeaky-clean show full of church goers and grandmothers or entertaining rowdy drinkers with jaw dropping filth (or somewhere in between) Ben’s versatile comedic skills can adapt to any situation.

Ben has been featured multiple times at the NC Comedy Festival and has opened for Gilbert Gottfried, Rob Schneider, Jamie Kennedy, Godfrey, Tom Green, Fortune Feimster, Maria Bamford, Bob Saget, Jay Pharoah, TJ Miller and many others.

FEATURE JIMMY BRIGGS:

Jimmy Briggs has been doing comedy for 8 years and is based out of Charlotte, NC. He's the host of Funny on the Fly at the Charlotte Comedy Zone and has been in several festivals throughout the southeast. Tall, lanky, and everything you would want in a second-string NBA center.

SPECIAL GUEST: JOY SURLES

Joy Surles is a writer, artist, and single mom who recently graduated from Charlotte’s Women Stand-up Comedy Class. She also performs with Shameless Society Improv.

HOST + SHOW PRODUCER: LAUREN ANSLEY

Lauren Ansley is a Charlotte-based stand-up comedian, professional emcee, keynote speaker, and founder of Beerly Funny, a Charlotte-based stand-up comedy show production company, and Ansley Corporate Entertainment, a company that helps organizations infuse joy and laughter into their meetings, conferences, and special events.

She has been a featured performer in several comedy festivals throughout the Carolinas, named one of the comedians to know by Charlotte Five and was featured in the Charlotte Observer.

In 2019, Lauren produced her own comedy showcase under the brand “Beerly Funny.” Since then, she has produced and hosted over 100 Beerly Funny comedy shows in the Greater Charlotte region. She has a passion for entertaining and creating more moments of joy and laughter.
