Experience Faroese comedian David Valley performing his successful, English-language stand-up show “History of the Faroe Islands (Please Don’t Laugh)” live at Nordatlantens Brygge this coming Saturday, from 9–10 pm (doors open at 8:30 pm).

Have you ever wondered about the history of the Faroe Islands? No? Well, that’s a shame. You’re going to hear about it anyway.
Faroese comedian David Valley invites you to a deeply serious journey through the history, culture, and personal stories of one of the smallest and most overlooked nations in the world. This is not comedy. This is a 100% academic exploration of the Faroese past, featuring no jokes whatsoever, only essential facts you never asked for and will almost certainly forget immediately (which is completely acceptable).
After selling out twice at the 2025 Reykjavík Fringe Festival and performing across Iceland, the Faroe Islands, and Estonia, the show now arrives in Copenhagen. It is a bold move for a nation still learning to speak confidently in full sentences.

Expect a meticulously researched presentation covering everything from Viking history to modern Faroese identity, delivered by someone who would very much like his country to be taken seriously for once. There may also be some songs, and possibly a game.
