A Community Tribute to remember and honour and celebrate Musician, Songwriter, Poet and Painter David Campbell.
David passed away in May at the age of 91. For years, he was very much part of the creative world of Vancouver and we want to remember, honour and celebrate him.
There will be an open mic during the evening for anyone who wants to read one of David's poems or lyrics, or to share something you wrote inspired by him, or to cover one of his many, many songs.

Some of David's albums recorded over the decades of his musical career will also be available at the event. $10 each.
Art Auction Final Night
Besides his music and words, David also created dozens of paintings, many influenced by his time on Manitoulin Island in the 1960s and by the Woodland style of painting that he then blended with his Arawak worldview and stories from his homeland Guyana.
We want his art to be seen out in the world. Perhaps on one of your walls?

The online Auction will culminate at this in-person Community Tribute event on November 4 at The Pleasant in Vancouver.
Proceeds will go to his family (after costs).
To make a bid, comment on the photo of the painting that you are interested in with your bid amount. You can also bid in person at this Nov. 4 Tribute event at the Pleasant.
(We are setting the minimum bid on most of the paintings at $100 unless otherwise indicated in the album.)
If your bid is the successful one, you can pay for and pick up your artwork at the end of the Nov. 4 event, or the painting can be delivered by hand in the Vancouver area during the week after the event, or shipped to you with costs being added to your winning bid.
Arrangements will be made for e-transfers of your winning bids if cash is not an option for you or if you are not in Vancouver or unable to attend the event.
