David Angol is a musician born in Preston to Dominican parents. David grew up listening to Reggae, Calypso, Soul and Blues music.Living at the time of the vibrant Jazz dance scene which was prominent throughout the eighties and early nineties.He was raised with the musical influences of his step father who played the steel drums, but he always had an ear for Jazz which became a big part of David’s life.He has since progressed to a saxophonist, bandleader, composer and session musician. David also teaches saxophones (Tenor / Soprano / Alto), piano and flute.

Currently leading his own quartet playing the music of the greats alongside his original compositions.

David toured with the award-winning ‘Blue Note’ records group ‘US3’. He played and remains to play on the International and London Jazz circuits, alongside people such as: Bobby Watson, Jools Holland, Bheki Mesleku, Ralph Moore, Jerry Garrett and Tony Kofi. Although David is part of the Jazz purist society he has also worked as a session musician with artists such as Amy Winehouse, Beverly Knight and Jess Glynn who performed at the 2015 EMA Awards.David has played at many international Jazz festivals including the Montreux Jazz Festival in Switzerland. He composed and performed music for the BBC (Ant & Dec) and ITV commercial television stations and worked on the award-winning popular TV drama series ‘Peaky Blinders’.

Leon Daniel former Brighton resident who has established myself as a jazz pianist on the London jazz circuit playing with the likes of Jim Mullen, Dave O’Higgins, Tony Kofi and Ralph Moore. I have an exciting modern jazz piano style with a unique voice; having had the privilege of being ‘schooled’ by a number of US based jazz piano titans including the great John Hicks, Carlos McKinney, Jason Moran and Eric Lewis.

Mirko Scarcia Based in UK since the end of 2019, in over two decades bassist and double bassist Mirko Scarcia
performed with several prominent artists in a variety of genres, including some of the top names in
Jazz such as Steve Grossman, Ronnie Cuber, Jessie Davies, Jerry Bergonzi, Rick Margitza, Paolo
Fresu, Fabrizio Bosso, Flavio Boltro, Gregory Hutchinson, Joe Farnsworth, Willy Jones III, Jim
Rotondi, Stjepko Gut to name a few.
Graduated in Classical Double Bass and Composition also he have been working as composer,
arranger and orchestrator with some of the most important icons of Italian music and Symphony
Orchestras.

Dave Hamblett is a drummer based in London. Since graduating from the Royal Academy of Music, Hamblett has fast become one of the UK’s most in-demand young musicians, performing and recording with artists such as Ivo Neame, Snowpoet, Kenny Wheeler, Flying Machines, the Magic Lantern and Elchin Shirinov. He has performed throughout the UK and Europe and appears on more than 30 albums.

Hamblett is also an accomplished bandleader and composer in his own right. In 2013 he released his debut album “Light at Night” on Whirlwind Recordings to critical acclaim, garnering glowing reviews from the Guardian, the Evening Standard, the Irish Times and Jazzwise.

Alongside his performing career, Hamblett has a wealth of experience as an educator. He is currently a Principal Lecturer in Jazz at Leeds Conservatoire.
