One of the UK’s most explosive jazz musicians to emerge on to the international scene, Dave Sear has firmly established himself as a hugely in-demand trombone soloist across a multitude of genres, known for his virtuosity and envelope-pushing approach whilst maintaining a deep connection to the tradition. A familiar face to many of our audience via some roof-raising visits with the NQ Jazz Orchestra, Dave has most recently been touring extensively across Europe with New York saxophone phenomenon Sam Greenfield.We’re delighted to welcome Dave to NQ Jazz for the first time as a bandleader, bringing his latest project featuring a stellar lineup of long-term collaborators to perform lots of new material, alongside some tracks from Dave’s debut album, I Always Thought My Thoughts Were Me.
