Daughtry formed in 2006 after frontman Chris Daughtry burst onto the scene as a finalist on American Idol. That year, the group released its self-titled debut album, which went six times platinum and became the fastest-selling rock debut in music-tracking history. The following year, the band was named Top New Artist at the Billboard Music Awards, setting the stage for its successful sophomore release, Leave This Town.
Today, Daughtry is on tour promoting its sixth studio album, Dearly Beloved. In all, the band has scored four #1 hits, four American Music Awards and received four Grammy® nominations.
