Mushies at Mount Crawford*Beginners level*
Sunday, 14th July at 9:00am, meet in car park.
Winter is here!! Come along to Mount Crawford for some fun mushie hunting, taking photos and maybe even logging a geocache or two.
Note: Foraging is allowed, but please do so with care! i do not know much about mushrooms so seek advice from an expert before consuming and follow all laws ;)
MEETING POINT: Type "SS13 Baynes gully reverse pick up point" into Google Maps for exact meeting location (just down the road from the Rocky Creek Camping entrance (toilets are here).

Join me for a 6km(ish) hike around Mount Crawford Forest.
Note: we can add a second loop for those keen to hike over 10kms ;)
Hike will be a bit of a random style hike where I play "where does this trail go?". I really enjoy this style of unplanned hike and I need to do it more often.
I will be using "map my walk" to keep track of where we are and record our hiking stats.
*We cannot get lost*
I also carry first aid and a PLB, etc ;)
BYO adequate water, trails snacks and weather appropriate clothing.
Hiking pole/s would be useful, but not necessary.
BYO water, snacks and marshmellows for roasting over a fire!
Hike is weather dependent, but light rain will NOT stop the hike.
