About this Event
Ready to make an impact with data?
DataJam 2026 is a one-day data science hackathon where teams of 3-5 students will tackle real-world challenges and compete for amazing prizes! Co-hosted by CGI and Saint Mary's University Sobey School of Business, this event brings together students from across the Maritimes to apply their data skills to meaningful problems.
If you don’t have a team or need more team members, please register on or before March 1, 2026.

Location: SH312 , Arthur L. Irving Entrepreneurship Centre, Saint Mary's University
Registration Fee: $10 per person (includes all meals, snacks, swag, certificate, and competition entry)

Who Can Participate?
All students are welcome — as long as your graduation date is May 2025 or later! This includes:
- Undergraduate students (all years)
- Graduate students (Master's and PhD)
- All academic programs (Computer Science, Business, Engineering, Statistics, Health Sciences, and more!)
No prior data science experience required - if you attended our prep workshops, you're ready! If you didn't attend the workshops, you're still welcome to compete.
