Data to Dialogue

The Florida Center for Behavioral Health Workforce (FCBHW) was contracted by the Department of Children & Families (DCF) to conduct a statewide evaluation of the effectiveness and barriers to use of certified recovery peer specialists in Florida's publicly-funded recovery-oriented adult substance use system of care. This evaluation was mandated by the Florida legislature with appropriated dollars from the Opioid Settlement Trust Fund. The evaluation was quite comprehensive and included a survey with open-ended responses, stakeholder interviews, analysis of DCF data (e.g., FASAMS, exemptions), and a Florida and national landscape review of state policies and associated programming.
