We are thrilled to announce that IEEE NSU Student Branch, WIE Affinity Group is organising a technical workshop named "Data Science Starter Camp: Career, Research & Practical ML" on 6th and 7th December, 2025, collaborating with SheSTEM & knowledge partner Ostad. It is a two-day programme designed to provide aspiring data science enthusiasts with both foundational knowledge and practical skills.
This workshop will ensure participants gain a well-rounded understanding of the field. Whether you are a beginner or a student aiming to strengthen your skills, this workshop is the perfect platform to explore the dynamic world of data science.The event will be divided into two detailed live sessions. Each session will focus on critical aspects of data science. The first session will be led by Instructor Nazmus Sakib. He will give knowledge about the fundamentals of data science, including career roadmaps, industry-level research use cases, and essential Python programming basics. The second session will be conducted by Instructor Sazzad Hossain. He will guide participants for a hands-on mini-project implementing logistic regression and decision tree models. Besides, attendees will be able to learn to evaluate models using key metrics like accuracy, precision, and recall.
