Data Centres Public Meeting

Ireland needs to have an honest conversation about data centres. They are a necessary part of our digital infrastructure but people are worried.
How much energy do they really use?
Could their energy and water use affect supply to households?
How much are we paying in our bills for their energy use?
Are their emissions really that high?
Are they damaging the environment?
Do we need a moratorium?
We’re holding a public meeting to discuss these issues and more. We want you to come along and have your say.
What can we do to push government to put the necessary guardrails in place so that data centre expansion only happens under conditions that aren’t damaging?
