Darwin Moonwalk for Our Moon's Mission
Schedule
Sun Jul 21 2024 at 05:45 pm
UTC+09:30Location
East Point Reserve | Darwin, NT
This community event is dedicated to raising awareness and funds to cure the rare neurodegenerative disease, SPG56, affecting Darwin born five-year-old Tallulah Moon and children like her.
• Full Moon Walk: Experience the beauty of a wheelchair accessible moonlit circuit walk around East Point with your Top End Community. Gather at the Box Jelly Fish gates at 5:45pm as the moon rises.
This year's moonwalk magically coincides with the 56th anniversary of the historic moon landing on July 21, 1969. Just as humanity achieved the extraordinary feat of landing on the moon (SPG) 56 years ago (!) we are determined to conquer and cure SPG56. The science is there but the funds are not!
Bring your tribe. Gather your people. Walk with us under the moon on this significant night and let's make this moonshot possible!
