A live show truly not to be missed, for lovers of guitar-heavy funk, acid-folk, Anatolian rock, 60s psych and dusty breaks.
If 2022’s ‘The Children Of Scorpio’ was the debut album that turned people onto the world
of Project Gemini aka Paul Osborne, 2024’s ‘Colours & Light’ is the body of work that will be buried deep into their hearts. It is a majestic album, bringing together the worlds of folk rock, psych soundtracks and hazy cinematic funk.
A growing confidence and ease emanate from the writing and production of this sophomore LP, bolstered by the reception to his standout debut. “It’s a more layered and diverse record” Paul mentions, “with a more outward-looking, global sound, born out of the records I was listening to and the musicians I was lucky enough to collaborate with”. It feels relaxed yet self-assured, with a kaleidoscope of sounds that twist together in a mesmerising fashion.
From acid folk to psych-funk, Francophile elements to Anatolian and Eastern inspirations, all interlocking and rotating as one.
With support already from the likes of Don Letts, Gideon Coe, Huey Morgan & Chris Hawkins at 6Music and glowing reviews from the likes of Uncut & Shindig! Magazine, Paul and his bandmates hit the road to play tracks form this expansive second record in a live setting, featuring Jack Sharp (Large Plants/Wolf People) on guitar, Tony Coote (Little Barrie/PP Arnold/Greg Foat/Steve Craddock) on drums and Bert Page (The Cromagnon
Band) on keys.

Human Hand (solo set)
J Hollick / Solo Instrumental Acoustic Guitar
Joe Hollick is best known for wielding a fuzzed-up Gibson Firebird in the cult psychedelic rock band Wolf People. However, his primary love is for the acoustic guitar. Inspired by a session with friend Alex Crispin from Baron/Diagonal, his first solo guitar album “Rest Lessness” has recently been repressed by Cardinal Fuzz/Echodelik Records after the initial edition quickly sold out. Joe effortlessly combines influences from British Folk, Krautrock and Mali Blues and in the words of Dave Cambridge (Cardinal Fuzz) “each of the meticulous notes Joe plays has a feeling of wide open space and exploration – like the flow of a gentle stream as it makes it way up to a waterflow whereupon the echoing growl and twang brings forth a sublime dissonance”.
“Excellent acoustic guitar playing… I’m not sure how the labels let this one get out with such a limited pressing because it needs to be in more hands. It’s that good. This record will take you to other places” (The Ominous Drone)

And Sie Norfolk - DJ and occasional Shindig magazine contributor - recently opened for the Bees at their sold-out Leeds Brudenell gig, played as a regular at the hugely missed Liverpool Psych Fest and a regular guest at Andy Votel's B-Music in Manchester. Owner of far too many records after spending most of his life looking for elusive and interesting sounds - expect to hear ... Eastern European Electronics , Anatolian Psych , Cinematic Soul , Italian Soundtracks , 60's Garage and much much more - all played from original vinyl. Sie will be joined on the decks by internationally renowned DJ Andy Votel!
