D.J. Sara Vox founded The Blackout in 2023, a quarterly party focusing on themed sets of Goth, Post-Punk, New Wave and Darkwave music on vinyl at the Neptune Room in Washington D.C The night has its roots in the Blackout party at Asylum that ran weekly on Mondays from 1997 - 1999.
