De naam Dareyn, wat in de Ottomaanse taal ‘twee werelden’ betekent, weerspiegelt perfect de unieke muzikale reis die dit ensemble onderneemt. Door de mystieke klanken van de kemenche – geworteld in de muzikale tradities van Istanbul en de Zijderoute – te combineren met de diepe resonantie van stem en piano, ontstaat een eigentijdse interpretatie van een eeuwenoud erfgoed.
Echoes of the Silk Road is een dynamische samenwerking tussen drie vrouwelijke artiesten uit Zuid-Korea en Turkije. Deze buitengewone combinatie van Koreaanse, Turkse, westerse klassieke en jazzmuziek creëert een betoverende symbiose van muzikale tradities.
