About this Event

The ultimate starting point for brave leaders, courageous cultures and organisational change.

"Highly recommend."
"Inspiring."
"An amazing experience."
"One 'aha moment' after the other."

Founded on the research of Dr. Brené Brown, Dare to Lead™ is an empirically based courage-building programme, delivered by Boma New Zealand CEO and Certified Dare to Lead™ Facilitator Kaila Colbin.

Brené has spent two decades studying shame and more than seven years specifically looking at leadership. During her research, she interviewed leaders from all over the world — from Fortune 100 companies, non-profits, public sector entities, and more — and asked one question: what is the future of leadership?

Remarkably, their answers pointed to one thing: we need braver leaders.

We need more courage.

The most significant finding from Brené’s latest research, and the foundation of Dare to Lead™, is that courage is a collection of four skill sets that are teachable, measurable, and observable.

After completing the three-day Dare to Lead™ programme you'll understand how to:
  • Effectively navigate vulnerability and unlock change
  • Turn values from fluffy language into tangible, practical behaviours
  • Build a common culture of trust in your team
  • Cultivate the skills to rise from setbacks and be more resilient

This curriculum is essential for teams who want to:
  • Be better equipped to deal with difficult conversations
  • Reduce unhealthy and unproductive behaviour
  • Be more creative and innovative
  • Build resilience and improve alignment
  • Foster a culture of accountability and trust

This experience is for you if:
  • You're in a position of leadership within your organisation
  • You see the potential in people and processes, and are willing to take responsibility for achieving that potential
  • You’re passionate about accelerating performance in yourself and others
  • You have to navigate organisational change as part of your role
