Become a Dare to Lead™ Trained Leader!
About this Event

Please note: To register, you must currently be in one of two roles - either a first responder or an educator (definitions of the roles are below). The cultural topics of discussion will be centered on these professional experiences. This workshop is deeply discounted (thanks to gracious sponsors covering facilitation, time, travel, event space and meals) to provide access to these individuals who don't often receive leadership development funds.

Dr. Brené Brown, a research professor at the University of Houston and five-time New York Times best-selling author, spent years researching leadership and organizational cultures.

She interviewed 150 global C-suite level executives on the future of leadership, asking: “What, if anything, about the way people are leading today needs to change in order for leaders to be successful in a complex, rapidly changing environment?”

Brené wrote in her 2018 book Dare to Lead™, “There was one answer across the interviews: We need braver leaders and more courageous cultures.”

Based on her research, Brené developed Dare to Lead™ – an empirically based courage-building program. It’s a game-changer for leaders at all levels.

Dare to Lead™ includes facilitation, self-reflection, practical activities, dialogue, and short videos hosted by Brené on the four teachable, observable, and measurable courage skill sets:

  1. Rumbling with Vulnerability: Facing risk, uncertainty, and emotional exposure with courage and clarity.
  1. Living into our Values: Identifying, operationalizing, and practicing the beliefs that we hold most important.
  1. BRAVING Trust: Creating or deepening connections in relationships and teams based on the seven elements of trust.
  1. Learning to Rise: Learning and growing from the failures, setbacks, and disappointments that are inevitable when we are brave with our lives.

Daring Leaders are self-aware, know how to have hard conversations, hold themselves and others accountable, build trust, lead with empathy and connection, take smart risks that lead to innovation, reset quickly after disappointments and setbacks, and give and receive feedback – especially when it’s tough.

Join us to uncover YOUR call to courage!

Included in this 3-day Workshop: Updated Dare to Lead™ Workbook (includes new material and content from BBEARG), Certified Dare to Lead™ Facilitator, Dare to Lead™ Trained Certificate, Dare to Lead™ Trained LinkedIn Badge, courage swag and lunch.

An educator is a student of the theory and practice of education who has a job in education. Educators typically include Pre K-12 and higher ed teachers/professors and administrators who work within a public/private educator system.

Only Certified Dare to Lead™ Facilitators are approved to facilitate this workshop at the permission of Dr. Brené Brown and BBEARG (Brené Brown Education and Research Group). Brené Brown will not be facilitating this workshop. Certified facilitators are authorized to issue "Dare to Lead™ Trained" certificates to individuals who successfully complete the full 24-hour training. In addition to receiving a certificate of completion, these individuals are allowed to put a "Dare to Lead™ Trained" badge on their LinkedIn account. While becoming Dare to Lead Trained doesn't certify you to facilitate this material as an instructor or host workshops, it does indicate that you can integrate your learnings into your organization's culture, meetings, and more.
