Singer-songwriter Dar Williams has spent decades capturing complexities of the human condition through songs that build vivid, interconnected worlds filled with nuanced characters. Across a career spanning over a dozen albums, she has become known for her deeply literate storytelling and acoustic melodies, exploring everything from social commentary and political action to the intimacy of personal relationships.
Beyond her music, Williams extends her passion for community building into the literary world. By balancing her perspective as a touring musician with her work as an author and community organizer, Williams continues to bring a wise, deeply rooted perspective to both her art and contemporary cultural conversations.
INDY FOLK SERIES is an all-ages listening room venue featuring superb acoustics, art on the walls, and a relaxed and welcoming atmosphere. Light snacks and drinks are available. Concerts are held once a month, September - May, in the performance space at the Unitarian Universalist Church of Indianapolis.
