Abstract:
DAOs started as direct democracies. Following concerns about token holder engagement and decision throughout (poor adaptation capacity), DAOs then evolved to representative democracy. However, the new configuration has made them more prone to principal-agent problems, while low engagement and throughput are still major problems.
Daniel will share about different organisational experiments that are taking shape across the ecosystem, and how we can triangulate between these experiments, web2 corporations, and key theories across psychology, economics, and organisational science to map better answers for DAOs.
