DANZA!Please join us for ongoing Danza sessions with Calpulli Ome-Tekpatl at CSUEB in Hayward.
The Theatre and Dance Department's Inclusive Interdisciplinary Ensemble is collaborating with CSUEB to sponsor open sessions of this beautiful and rigorous dance form, led by members of Calpulli Ome-Tekpatl.
Danza Mexica, also known as Danza Azteca, Aztec Dancing, or simply "Danza" is a cultural dance tradition widely practiced throughout California and nationwide with origins dating back to ancient Mesoamerican ceremonies of Mexico and Central America.
Sessions take place in the CSUEB Dance Studio, PE 140, every Friday from 6:45 - 8:45pm.
No previous experience necessary.
