About this Event
A poetry reading and conversation with National Book Award winner Daniel Borzutzky
“Borzutzky’s work confronts the violence embedded in borders, economies, and language itself—with poems that insist on empathy even in the face of collapse.”
Daniel Borzutzky is the author of The Performance of Becoming Human (winner of the 2016 National Book Award for Poetry), Written After a Massacre in the Year 2018, Lake Michigan (finalist for the Pulitzer Prize), and The Book of Interfering Bodies.
A Chilean-American poet and translator, his writing bridges continents and histories, bearing witness to displacement, survival, and the politics of care. He also translates major Latin American writers including Raúl Zurita and Galo Ghigliotto, and teaches at the University of Illinois at Chicago.
Join us for a reading and moderated Q&A with one of the most vital voices in contemporary poetry.
Registration on the events page (https://www.homekey.casa/events/daniel-borzutzky-2025-12-04) opens on Oct 21 and is required for entry.
