Danica Novgorodoff and Meera Subramanian present A Better World Is Possible: Global Youth Confront the Climate Crisis
In conversation with youth activists Jamie Margolin & Shiv Soin
Food reception to follow
New York Times best-selling illustrator Danica Novgorodoff and award-winning environmental journalist Meera Subramanian present their stunning graphic novel A Better World is Possible, at this special all-ages event, in celebration of Earth Day (and month)! As climate change quickens—bringing with it extreme weather, biodiversity loss, and humanitarian crises—four teens help organize the world’s largest climate protest. Hundreds of thousands join them, taking to the streets of New York City and demanding answers. How did climate change get this bad? Who’s to blame? And most importantly: What can we do about it? "Helpful and hopeful," (award-winning author and educator John Green), in A Better World Is Possible, Novgorodoff and Subramanian share experiences from their lives and those of the four youth activists, and through their stories, we learn the science behind our changing planet and explore solutions at hand. Two of the book's featured youth activists, Shiv Soin and Jamie Margolin, join Novgorodoff and Subramanian for a discussion on how meaningful change is possible, before an audience Q&A and signing.
