Dandi March Walkathon Challenge 2025

The Dandi March (Salt March) was a nonviolent protest led by Mahatma Gandhi from March 12 to April 6 1930 against the British salt monopoly. Gandhi and his followers walked 387 Km from Sabarmati Ashram to Dandi Gujarat to produce salt sparking the Civil Disobedience Movement.

To celebrate this important milestone we are excited to organize a Virtual Walkathon where you can walk any distance from 1 km to 387 km at your own pace in one or multiple days. Whether you take small steps or go the extra mile every step counts! Start by April 6th & Complete your walk by Oct 2nd and be a part of this special celebration.

Challenge:

You can choose your target - 1 km to 387 km

Daily walking is not compulsory. You can manage your schedule as you see fit.

Measure walk distance using any app including steps counting apps

Start Date: Any day before 6th April 2025

Finish Date: Any day before 2nd Oct 2025

(You can walk on treadmill or your home also)
