Dancing Strings Festival 2026 - vrouwelijke snaarkunstenaars uit diverse werelddelen

𝐃𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐒𝐭𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐠𝐬 𝐅𝐞𝐬𝐭𝐢𝐯𝐚𝐥 returns to Utrecht and The Hague on Saturday June 13 and Sunday June 14! Dancing Strings brings together the world’s most enchanting string instruments in varied ensembles. In this fourth edition, the focus is on women in music. Eight female artists from different parts of the world will share their talent and passion on stage.

You will hear new pieces composed especially for this edition by 𝗛𝗶𝗻𝗱 𝗘𝗻𝗻𝗮𝗶𝗿𝗮 (sentir), 𝗞𝗵𝗼𝗿𝘀𝗵𝗶𝗱 𝗗𝗮𝗱𝗯𝗲𝗵 (tar), 𝗟𝘂𝗰𝗶𝗲 𝗱𝗲 𝗦𝗮𝗶𝗻𝘁 𝗩𝗶𝗻𝗰𝗲𝗻𝘁 (piano) and 𝗕𝗲𝗮𝘁𝗲 𝗟𝗼𝗼𝗻𝘀𝘁𝗿𝗮 (harp), accompanied by 𝗜𝗿𝗶𝘀 𝗦𝗶𝗴𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗺𝗮𝗻𝘀 (bass guitar) and 𝗭𝗶𝗹𝗮𝗻 𝗛𝗮𝘀𝗿𝗲𝘁 𝗬ı𝗹𝗱ı𝘇 (percussion). The festival will conclude with a lively concert by special guest 𝗛𝗶𝗻𝗱 𝗘𝗻𝗻𝗮𝗶𝗿𝗮, accompanied by a gnawa ensemble.

In Utrecht, there will be a supporting programme at Het Wilde Westen. On June 7 there is a recital by 𝗬𝗼𝘂𝘀𝗿𝗮 𝗗𝗵𝗮𝗵𝗯𝗶 on the ‘ud (Arabic lute) accompanied by 𝗙𝗹𝗲𝗿𝘆 𝗩𝗹𝗮𝗰𝗵𝗼𝗱𝗶𝗺𝗼𝘂 on piano, with workshop presentations and a talk with participants and audience about the role of women as musicians.
