WHAT: Local Columbus residents are set to raise awareness and funds by participating in the 2026 Dancing Stars of Columbus. On WEDNESDAY, OCTOBER 1, 2025 the Alzheimer’s Association, Georgia Chapter revealed their 26 star and professional dancers — business and philanthropic Columbus residents — who will be cast members of 2026 Dancing Stars of Columbus.
To kick off the 17th year of Dancing Stars of Columbus events, there are 13 Star dancers and 13 pros who will join thousands of other Georgians in the fight to end Alzheimer’s disease by raising funds for the care, support and research programs of the Alzheimer’s Association.

Mirroring the popular TV show, this event pairs local Columbus residents with professional dancers to raise money by gaining votes in a one-night gala dance competition. Supporters can vote online dancingstarsofcolumbus.com for their favorite dancer prior to the event. On February 27, 2025, under the leadership of event chair Amy Farmer, the Dancing Stars of Columbus gala raised $444,216 in support of the mission of the Alzheimer’s Association.
For this memorable event celebrating the 17th year, Jennifer Wright Cooper, Area Business Director for Ardelyx, has been selected by the Alzheimer’s Association to chair the 2026 Dancing Stars of Columbus gala. Jennifer is also the 2024 People’s Choice award recipient for her season of dancing stars.
And this year, there’s an exciting twist for the gala–a new theme! The theme for the 2026 gala will be "Hollywood Nights" and will incorporate a number of familiar films to dazzle the audience.
