For two unforgettable nights, we’re celebrating America’s 250th birthday by bringing our community together in the heart of downtown Reno 🇺🇸
Because something incredible happens when people dance.
It doesn’t matter where you come from.
It doesn’t matter your background or your story.
When the music starts, strangers become neighbors, the crowd moves together, and the entire city feels united.
This is the kind of night that reminds us why we love our community.
💃 Dancing at City Plaza
The heart of the celebration is the dance floor at City Plaza, where everyone is invited to join in.

At exactly 7:04 PM on Saturday, everyone along Virginia Street will come together for the 7:04 Freedom Moment, celebrating 250 years of American freedom 🇺🇸
For a brief moment, the music pauses, and the entire crowd celebrates the freedoms that allow nights like this to exist.
We’re planning something special.
We can’t tell you what it is yet.
But trust us…

🎆 9:45 PM — Fireworks Over Downtown Reno
Later that night, fireworks will light up the sky over downtown Reno, and we’ll have a fantastic view from Virginia Street and the river.
After a night of music and dancing, we’ll look up together and watch the sky explode with color — the perfect ending to an unforgettable evening.

Come dressed in your best red, white, and blue.

Flags for the Community
To celebrate America’s 250th birthday, we’ll be handing out American flags during the event.
Wave them proudly, bring them to the dance floor, and raise them together during the 7:04 Freedom Moment 🇺🇸
Celebrating Freedom
While this celebration is for the entire community, we will also take a moment to recognize the service members and veterans who helped protect the freedoms we enjoy today 🇺🇸
As part of the event, Dancing on the River will make a donation to a charity that supports veterans.
