WHAT is DUP?
Dances of Universal Peace (DUP) are a methodology born in 1968 inside a Sufi school, as a modern form of spiritual practice with very old roots. It is a Dynamic meditation, human mandalas, singing together and holding hands, body prayer, and it is a form of universal spirituality working with many different lineages and traditions of the world. A icommunity building, personal growth, and deep transformational practice, and a lot of fun!
With Arjun from Colombia, SouthAmerica, who coordinates the Beyond Initiative project. It started in the Middle East in 2018, and 2022 in Asia and in 2024 in Africa.
WHO SHOULD COME TO THE WORKSHOPS?
People who is already walking in the alternative ways of life. Healers, permaculture people, artists, activists, educators, cooperative people. People with a minimum background of awakening, education, leadership and thirst for the mysteries of human nature. And very important, people from younger generations but mature enough 20-40 years for example. As we will be using names, phrases and teachings from different religions and traditions, people cannot be militants of any religion and need to be beyond the concept of religion (for example "my religion is the only true religion").
Open Night DUP Session: we will take a journey through different traditions, using ancient melodies and mantras combined with body movement to collectively enter into a space of expanded awareness and insight. Is 3 hrs session to introduce you and get a taste of the methodology of DUP (Dances of Universal Peace), a spiritual practice of Sufi roots.
Full Day DUP Training:
for those interested in understanding better DUP (origins, scope and functional structure) and getting the basic tool kit to facilitate DUP session (as apprentices).
In this workshop we will go deeper into the different elements inside the practice, deeper into a sample of the traditions associated with DUP and deeper into the diversity of collective landscapes that can emerge (celebration, grieve, ecstasy, forgiveness, emptiness, etc)
