About the Instructor:
Newell DeFreest is a Two-Time World Champion, with 15+ years of professional teaching and competing experience. He has trained over 10 Amateur World Champions in Country (and countless top-5 finalists), guided students to top-6 finishes at the prestigious Ohio Star Ball, and crafted championship-level professional and amateur choreography. Newell’s expertise spans American Rhythm, Smooth, and International Standard, and he has taught and competed internationally across Belgium, the Netherlands, and Ireland.
