Recreational Competition Team Auditions – Friday, June 12th!
Whether your dancer is looking for their first team experience or wants more opportunities to perform and grow, our recreational competition teams are an amazing way to be involved at DU!
These teams are designed for dancers who love to perform, build friendships, grow their confidence, and be part of fun team environment — without the intense time commitment of a traditional competition team.
Teams by Grade Level
Mini Company – Grades K–3
Junior Crew – Grades 4–7
Teen Crew – Grades 8–12
Why Families Love Our Recreational Teams:
✨ Only 2 rehearsals per month
Schedules are set at the beginning of the season so families can plan ahead easily.
✨ Multiple performance opportunities
Dancers will perform at:
• 2 Competitions
• DU Showcases
• Community Events
• End-of-Year Recital
✨ *NEW* - Optional workshop opportunities
for dancers who want even more fun and training opportunities.
✨ *NEW* - DU Outreach Program
Team members will participate in give-back projects that help foster teamwork, leadership, and community service.
✨ No required fundraising
Team Requirement:
All dancers must be enrolled in one technique-based class during the season, such as:
• Jazz
• Lyrical
• Ballet
• Combo Class

REHEARSALS WON’T BEGIN UNTIL THE FALL.
Have a friend who is interested in joining one of our teams but doesn’t currently dance with us?
We’d still love to see them at auditions! Have them call the office to get the details (301-662-3722). Accepted dancers can then enroll for the Fall season!
