Dance the music: from rhythm to movement

Dance the Music is a 2.5-hour dance workshop inviting curious movers (including musicians) from all dance levels to explore the direct relationship between rhythm and movement by the mimic of music. This moment is not about technique, but about discovering how the body can respond to music.

We will start with a progressive warm up, followed by practical tools to sharpen the ear and connect sound to physical response. Through elements of jazz, modern dance and body percussion, we will explore how music can be embodied.

As the workshop unfolds, dancers will be invited to collaborate in small groups and engage in a creative process. This final part opens a space for composition, personal interpretation and exchange between participants.
