Welcome to Jussi “Dance Plague” Kirkkopelto’s open free Birthday swing and blues dance party! Join us for a free evening with two live bands on Saturday 27.9.2025 18.00-01.00 at Black Pepper Swing premises, Karjalankatu 2, 4th floor, Helsinki, Finland. Door code 1991#.The guest list list is now full and closed. If you’d like to be notified of any cancellations or any other inquiries (changes, cancellations, questions), please contact me on any media or channel.
Dress code suggestion is steamy late-night speakeasy (1920s-1930s), but suitable for dancing. It will be hot! Outdoor shoes or shoes that leave black marks on the floor are not allowed.
BYOD Bring your own drinks. If you are new to dance parties, it is good to know that many dancers use no or very little alcohol in these events. Birthday cakes, coffee or tea, mocktails and snacks are served.
Birthday gift wish is to support me with the event costs – instead of alcohol or flowers – donations welcome!
Extra performances are also welcome. If you’d like to contribute a short performance – dance, music, or any kind of art swing or blues-related or not – please contact me in advance so we can schedule it.
Party Schedule
18.00- The dance party starts and DJs keeps the dancing alive in the both swing and blues rooms (except during live sets and shows).
