DESCRIPTION

Rhythm & Motion and Yerba Buena Gardens Festival invite you to join us for R&M Fusion class at the beautiful Yerba Buena Gardens. For over 40 years, Rhythm & Motion has provided the joy, intensity and skill of dance to the public in welcoming atmospheres through its classes, events and community-minded programming. We are excited to bring people together and to work with YBGFestival to energize the Gardens with the joy of music and dance.

Free RSVP encouraged, drop-ins are welcome.

Classes are one hour on Wednesdays, from 12 - 1pm. Wear comfortable clothing that you can easily move in and supportive shoes suitable for moving on concrete. Bring water, layers for unpredictable weather and your sense of joy and connection.

CLASS DESCRIPTION

Named San Francisco's favorite dance workout by San Francisco Magazine and 7X7 Magazine, Rhythm & Motion (R&M) is a low-pressure, joyful, full-bodied and sweaty dance workout class that balances the challenge of learning choreography and movement techniques with the dance-floor euphoria of a good party. Taught by experienced dancers and performing artists, the (mostly) follow-along class format starts with a well-balanced warm-up and leads to high energy stamina and strength building choreography. All levels and abilities are welcome!

THE QUESTIONS

Exactly when and where will we meet?

We will meet at the Crepe Myrtle Garden of Yerba Buena Gardens, across 3rd street from SFMOMA in the heart of downtown San Francisco (see map below). Please plan to arrive 15 minutes early to sign in and get situated.

Are there bathrooms and water fountains?

Restrooms and water fountains are open and available.

What if we have wet weather?

If it rains or if the dance space is wet, for everyone's safety, we will cancel the class and notify participants with as much notice as possible on the day of the scheduled class.

Where can I park my car or bike?

There is metered parking along 3rd & Folsom streets and the two nearest parking garages are the 5th & Mission Garage and the Moscone Center Garage. If you’re riding your bike, you are welcome to park your bike at a nearby bike rack near Yerba Buena Gardens entrances.

Are there lockers?

There are no lockers or changing areas available for use. We encourage you to bring very few belongings. Rhythm & Motion and Yerba Buena Gardens Festival are not responsible for lost or stolen items.
