We're back in Center City at the Philadelphia Ethical Society!

Dance Medicine Philly feels so much like a thriving community. The connection among folks new and old to our events is palpable! The dancing on the Ecstatic dance floor is unreal! "Bodies moving and hearts opening."

This upcoming event is sure to not be missed. We have the lovely & talented CHARITY JOY coming to spin for us.

Charity Joy Robinson has been teaching, traveling, and facilitating movement for over 17 years around the world to adults and children. An Elemental Movement - Ecstatic Dance Facilitator and DJ, as well as a certified 200-hour yoga teacher with over 900 hours of studies with master teachers from around the planet. Thai massage practitioner, Access Consciousness Bars facilitator, Holy Fire Reiki Master, Moon / Woman Gathering Hostess, and High Priestess in training. Former Dance teacher of West African dance, Azonto, Breakdancing, and Hip-Hop. Creator of kids dance and movement programs all over the world. Some call her the Joy Dealer, Clarity Charity, Miss Charity, or DJ CJ.

When Charity is not working, she is training in Kalaripayttyu (Ancient Indian Marital Arts), roller-skating, cooking up something delicious in the kitchen, working on organic farms around the country, embracing the ocean, hiking mountains, singing and dancing.

When you have the experience of a session with Charity, be prepared to have FUN, to let some shit go and be the being you were born to Be.

We are excited to share our collective Dance Medicine in this amazing community where consent, authentic communication, support & love rest at the foundation & core. In order to keep things safe in these uncertain times we ask that you take the necessary health precautions you feel called to take for yourself and respect the choice of others. (If you have felt sick, had a fever or cough, please do not attend.) Masks are welcome if that is appropriate for you, they will not be enforced.

Dance Medicine Philly is a drug & alcohol free event. We ask that there is no talking on the dance floor and no cameras used during the event. Please respect this as our intention is to offer folks a safe, supportive place to dance, move wiggle and wobble into full self expression.

Some things to consider bringing: Water bottle, yoga mat, something warm to cover with for the sound healing, acoustic instruments such as drums/rattles, fire and flow toys like hula hoops, juggling balls, and poi.

Come whenever you can arrive. If you need to come in late or leave early, this is ok. Kids of all ages are welcome too!!

Refund Policies:

1. If the event is canceled due to a covid-19 related issue, we will issue you a full refund for your ticket price.

2. If you are experiencing symptoms, have been exposed to, or have tested positive for covid-19 we will issue you a full refund.

3. If you can not make the event for some reason, you are welcome to sell your ticket to someone else
