We welcome you to join us at a new location on the Delaware River at Fort Mifflin, on Wednesday, June 23rd, 2021!!!
✨✨✨✨✨

To our Dance Medicine Family!
For our next dance, we are gathering on a Wednesday evening, to celebrate the solstice and allow for folks who can’t join us during the weekends to join in on the fun! Meet us at Fort Mifflin, a National Historic Landmark, on the Delaware River! This location will truly be an epic experience on the water, and in addition, we are looking forward to doing the sound bathing experience in the Fort's echo chamber!

✨✨✨✨✨

We are welcoming back, BEN ARSENAL, Philadelphia-based DJ/Producer who moves dancefloors worldwide! He is a producer of Worldtown SoundSystem & Elevate Sound and you will find him mixing international drum-driven, house music. We are so excited to welcome his local and global vibes to unite in our most beloved, ancient connection with ourselves, our community, and the Earth...to DANCE!

We will be warming up for our dance with TIFFANY WRIGHT! It’s an honor to have Tiffany guide us into a 55-minute class that will blend both dance, flexibility, and yogic techniques to help warm up the body for a beautiful night of movement. All ya need is your body!! Yoga mat invited but not required.

We are so blissed to have an echoing chamber at this location to amplify the rhythmic sound bath by ALEXIA OLIVEIRA! Alexia is a Brazilian musician and sound meditation artist who believes in the healing power of connecting with our roots through sound vibration. Blending bossa nova and samba with the rhythms of the African diasporic religion of Candomblé, her intention is to create music that envelopes the body and elevates the spirit while honoring our ancestors.

✨✨✨✨✨✨

COVID protocols: We recognize that everyone is at a different opinion and level of comfort with their approach to covid and we want to create a safe experience for all. In this regard, we will be giving out colored wristbands so it's clear to the other dancers what level of social distancing you are comfortable with. Green is “ok at any distance”, yellow is “please ask first”, and red is “please respect my need for social distancing.” If you want to make it even more clear to your fellow attendees, you could wear the color distancing your seeking. Grab a green t-shirt, or a yellow hat...

What a joy it is to be moving and enjoy the company of people and dance (in person)!! We unite and come alive for Ecstatic dance; turning a quiet afternoon into an electric, grounding, energetic, life-giving experience. As we dance, there will be blankets and an alter set out in a lounge area for resting, reflection and relaxation. Afterwardalcohol-free, we’ll have a short closing circle and then invite everyone to eat some freshly prepared fruits and snacks as we say goodbye.

This is a dance as you wish, safe space, absolutely everyone is welcome event. We are a substance and alcohol-free event. We encourage no talking on the dance floor while we are in the flow of the event. This is organized by a group of dance and movement enthusiasts who want to build community through dance and appreciation for healthy living. If you feel called to participate and help out in any way we welcome you (send us a message of inquiry). Volunteers are greatly appreciated. Please invite your friends. This community and experience foster both individual and collective growth. Encourage your friends to join us as we witness our own transformations.

What a strange, unexpected year it has been. Now that the weather is warming and we can gather outside more safely, we’re excited to begin regular events again. With all this said, we are so so thankful to have the opportunity to gather and move collectively!!
