LED Studio (Boise, Idaho) is pleased to announce its 2022, Seattle debut, of DANCE IS CRINGE.First performed at the Treefort Music Festival, in March of 2022 - DANCE IS CRINGE, is a Performance Art/Roving Experience that pushes the boundaries of dance, collaboration, experience, and spectacle.
Do you feel sexy, passionate, empowered and alive when you dance? Or does the act of dancing, the thought of dancing, or even just watching someone dance make you cringe?
Follow this cult of personality on a journey to a “dance utopia.” You might just drink the Kool-Aid and join the movement.
The performance will be housed at the YAW Theater in Seattle’s Georgetown neighborhood. However, attendees should not expect a static, sit-down and-observe style performance. This ebullient program utilizes the theatre as a locus of action while also employing the adjacent surroundings - side streets, alleys, artist studios, even the audience themselves - as stage, prop, and participant.
